Michael W. Magnanti grew up on New York's Long Island in what was a very similar town to Oxford called East Setauket. You may have heard of it from the popular television program "Turn - Washington's Spies". Mike served his community as a volunteer firefighter from 1989 until he left New York for greener pastures and a warmer climate in 1992.
Mike lived in Lake Worth, Florida where he worked in the restaurant industry, and was very active as a YR in Palm Beach County where he was the Political Activities director for the Young Republicans of Palm Beach County. He moved to Huntersville, NC in 2005, and Granville County in 2010.
Mike is a lifelong Republican Most recently here in Granville County, Mike served as an advisor to the successful campaign of Granville County District 5 County Commissioner, Russ May.
Mike lives in Oxford with his wife Leslie and five children, Michael - 22, Ava - 18, Julianna - 15, Sophia - 10 and Luci - 9. Most evenings he is at either Sophia & Luci's volleyball practice or at church. Mike and his family are very active at Delrayno Baptist Church in Oxford where he serves on various committees.
