Meet Your Chair

Jackie Ulshafer
Chair - Granville County GOP

Jackie grew up in rural Montana and Wisconsin, a very small-town
girl. As the 3rd oldest in a family of nine children, she learned responsibility
at a very young age and understood that you should always work to the
best of your ability. That has been the foundation of everything she does.

After finishing college and being commissioned in the US Army, she
served several years in the military. During that time Jackie married her
husband Larue (47 years ago), then left the military and had 2 children and
chose to be a stay-at-home mom until her children went to school. During
that time, she went back to school and received a master’s degree and a
second bachelor’s degree. Larue stayed in the military for 21 years, which
meant the family lived and visited many different places.
She worked in a retail environment, taught elementary school,
worked at a large county library, and had a small antique business.

Jackie’s hobbies include flower gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing
etc., which still enrich her life in retirement. The highlight of retirement has
been having the time to spend with her children and granddaughter.
Jackie and Larue moved to Granville County in 2016.   After living
and traveling many different places, found Granville to be the friendliest place they
have ever lived. She enjoys interacting with the many members of the
community she encounters.
